As tax law grew more complex, in 1958, Jerome returned to school and became a Certified Public Accountant, in order that he might not only help his clients with their tax questions, but also assist them with business and estate planning matters, as well as represent them before the Internal Revenue Service. Jaspers' firm continued to grow in Shakopee, and again, because of the increasing demands of his clients, he returned to school and obtained his law degree in 1963.
